Cheesehead Champion October 2026: Feltz's Family Farm & Dairy Store
Farming Since 1913, Fun Since Forever: Feltz's Dairy Store
Every October, I find my way back to the same farm in Stevens Point. (Even though I get lost in the corn maze every time 😅)
I've been a Feltz's customer for years, long before Wisco Branding was even a thought. And since about 2020, their corn maze has become a family tradition. We go during the day, watch the nieces and nephews play, wander in circles, and end up with apple cider and cheese curds in hand. Then there's the haunted maze at night, which has become a tradition with friends. We haven't missed one yet.
This year might have topped them all.
More scares. More to venture into, including a trailer house, wooden platforms, and a school bus. And fire spinners entertaining the line while you waited to enter the maze. We went on Friday, the 30th and we were still talking about it on Monday.
The haunted maze is done for the season, but I'd like to tell you why Feltz's deserves your attention long after the cornstalks come down.
The Feltz family has been farming since 1913. In 2021, they started making their own cheese, and today the store carries over 250 varieties, along with hundreds of other Wisconsin-made products. You can watch the cows get milked by robots through the viewing windows and then grab a bag of cheese curds.
The holidays are here, and Feltz's is the kind of place that makes checking off your list a little more fun.
🧀 Stocking up for Thanksgiving? Pick up cheese for your appetizer board.
🧀 Need cheese for the cheese drawer? (You know you do)
🧀 Holiday gifts for the person who has everything but would never say no to good Wisconsin cheese?'
🧀 Perhaps you’re already stocked on cheese and are looking for a local product such as BBQ sauce, cherry pie filling, or maple syrup.
It’s all there, and it’s backed by a family that has been working this land for over a century.
What I love most about Feltz's Dairy Store is how much heart is behind it. It’s family fun, honest farming, and cheese that’s seriously gouda, and it's a place that gives you a reason to slow down and make a memory.
Now that's a Cheesehead Champion. No whey around it. 🧀
